My little soccer star!

What a kicker! The baby is all over the place! Myron saw it for the first time the other day and the kicks are finally strong enough for him to feel. He is so active!
We are having the hardest time with names. We want it to be perfect, so we keep trying every possible combination. Hopefully we'll figure it out before he gets here, or else he'll be stuck with McBaby for life!
We have finally started on our nursery! I ordered the cutest bedding and it came in last week. It has animals in all different fabrics on it. Yesterday we ordered our furniture and today Myron installed a new ceiling fan for the room - hopefully he'll put a fresh coat of paint on the walls in the next few weeks!

It's a boy!

I just knew it! There must be something to this whole mother's intuition! It was so cool to see that our little baby looks like a BABY!!! Everything looks good and our little boy is healthy. He was very active and loved to play with his hands. He kept his hands wide open like he was pushing on my stomach and giving high fives!

I can now imaging what my little guy looks like when I feel all that movement inside. This is the coolest thing!

I am stretching in all directions!

I feel 10 times bigger than I look! I can't sit up very comfortably anymore even though my baby bump isn't that big. I think my insides are definately growing faster than my outsides. I can't eat very much in one sitting which is great for Myron!
Our little baby has become very active. I can feel movement at almost anytime of the day. I am secretly hoping that I am growing a soccer player! I keep trying to get Myron to feel it but I don't think the baby is big enough yet to feel on the outside.
We are getting more and more excited with everyday. This baby is going to come into a world so full of love! Not too much longer and we'll be able to stop calling him or her IT!

Hello from the Isle of Palms, South Carolina!!!

It has been an exciting week! I had another checkup last week and the baby's heartrate was 155 bpm. If you belileve in old wive's tales, that's kind of high and signifies a girl ;)... of course we'll be excited either way. So now we are less than 4 weeks away from finding out what our little baby is....

I am very proud of my younger sister. We came to Atlanta last weekend to watch her graduate from Georgia State with honors and a number of other awesome awards. We had a beautiful dinner party for her afterwards at Maggiano's (thanks Dad!).

After graduation my mom, sister, Nolan, Myron, me, and the little baby inside flew to Charleston, SC for a relaxing week. We have a great condo right on the beach with a beautiful view. For those of you wondering, I am that girl hanging out on the beach in a bikini, baby bump and all!!!

Is it movement?

Over the past week I have started to feel some funny "blurps" in my stomach! I think it might be the baby! It happens when I'm not hungry or gassy (sorry if that's TMI!) so I definitely think it could be the baby doing flips. I really noticed it at church because that's the only place I really sit still long enough to notice anything. I have a doctor's appt this Thursday so I will let update you all on what I learn!

Less than 6 months until d-day!!

We are now less than 6 months away from October 17th! It's going to go by so fast. We really haven't made any changes to the house for the baby. We have been trying to finish up all the projects in each room. Once we find out what the sex will be I am sure we'll go crazy!
I have been really blessed because I still haven't been sick and I am getting most of my energy back. I am not eating the best, but I'm really trying. My Dr doesn't seem to be worried because I take my vitamins regularly (thanks mom for that habit!).

Moving into the 2nd trimester!!!

Yeah!!! I had my 12 week checkup this last week and I got to hear the heartbeat again! This is the coolest thing. I survived my 1st trimester without ever getting sick - sorry if that makes you other mothers mad :)! My middle is starting to grow and my normal clothes are getting a little too tight.

8 more weeks until we find out if we are getting a little boy or a little girl... Either way, I am ready to start shopping!

11 Weeks and counting!!!

We have made it to 11 weeks! Now we can't stop thinking about the sex of our baby! We have several weeks until we figure that out, but this is sooo much fun to dream! I have slowly started to come out of my exhaustion phase - I am staying up past 9:30 now.
Tommorrow I am leaving to go to Atlanta to visit my sister. My Aunt Carol and mom are coming too. It should be a fun girls weekend!

9 weeks today!

Today I am 9 weeks! I had a really long week because of fatigue - I never thought I would sleep this much! I feel like I have been getting my energy back the past couple of days. I am determined to be more productive this next week. I am still not getting sick so I am absolutely not complaining! Myron has really been the best husband ever - he is picking up my slack and not complaining at all. He is going to be a great father!

So I went for my first OB appointment this last week and my due date changed again! This is all just a big guessing game anyway. Now they are saying October 17th, which puts another week of separation from Candace's annual birthday extravaganza!

It is sooo much fun to look at baby stuff - but don't worry, I'm not buying anything yet. We are going to wait until we find out the sex before I start throwing money left and right!

We have a due date!

We went back to the doctor this last Friday and the baby is growing as fast as it should be. They have now calculated a due date of October 25th! It's exciting to have a date, even though I know there will be at least one upset aunt! For those of you that know Candace, she demands an entire week of birthday celebrations and now she's going to have to share! I am sure she will get use to the idea once she sees the cutest baby in the world!

A tiny little heartbeat!

We went for our first ultrasound yesterday and saw McBaby's tiny little heart fluttering! This was about the only thing I could pick out - it's still so surreal that there is a little life growing inside of me! By the way, there was only ONE heartbeat. The rest of it looked like a black blob....
The blob measured about 2.2 centimeters which is smaller than a normal 7 week measurement so our doctor thinks it's more like 5.5 weeks. This would mean a later due date towards the end of October. If we play our cards right we could steal the attention from Aunt Candace's birthday week celebration!!!

Back from Mexico!

We had a wonderful time in Mexico! The weather was awesome and the food was terrific. I made it thru without getting sick :) I didn't get as many funny looks as I thought I would for ordering "virgin" drinks!
It's been rough going back to work - I am soooo tired! I went to bed at 7:30 the other night!! Myron and I have nicknamed this "prego-land" and we've also started calling the baby McBaby instead of "it". Just seems more sincere....
